The History of Stagecoaches
The first stagecoach was perfected in 1827, by two wheelwright brothers named Abbot and Lewis Downing. This took place in Concord, New Hampshire where the brothers had owned a factory. The company disbanded around 1847, until they came together in 1865. The brothers continued to make stagecoaches until 1919.
