We want you in our country! Some interesting facts!

We have some great things in Germany! Like foods such as potatoes, noodles, dumplings, and delicious pastries. But, you will never forget our meats. Like pork, beef, and chicken. Absolutely delectable! Also you could visit some of the awesome sites to see in Germany. Like the Berlin Wall and, for when you are with that special someone, the romantic Rhine River Valley.

While you are there you might as well go to an Ice Hockey game. Being the most popular sport in Germany, it's not hard to see why. It is an amazing sport whether you are playing it or watching it. Also if you want, while you are in Berlin, take a trip to the Altes Museum and see all the historical items in it. Some of the major holidays that you might see are Christmas, Easter, Sylvester, and Fasching.

Type of Government

Germany has a Limited Federal Republic system. Which means the powers of the central government are restricted and the component parts all have a self government. That means there is a different government leader for each country. You could learn them all! You might just could make it a game for car rides.

Languages Spoken and Some Popular Phrases

The only language spoken in Germany is German. You might need to use some of these popular phrases like, Hallo (Hello), Auf Wiedersehen (Goodbye), and Wo ist die Toilette? (Where is the bathroom?). I would recommend you learn the language but, you don't have to! You could always buy an English to German translation book.

Currency and Exchange Rate

Like most countries in Europe, the currency used in Germany is the Euro. As always you will need to know the exchange rate. One U.S. Dollar is equal to .74 Euros. So go get yourself as many Euros as you need and go to Germany!
