Week 4 Term 4 2022
Kia ora e te whānau,
Welcome to term 4,
We are all busy getting ready for the Festive Fun Fair on Saturday the 19th of November. The children will be helping to make items to sell. It has been a lot of fun and we hope you can come along. You should have received a notice asking if you can help. Any help or support is much appreciated.
On Thursday and Friday afternoon, teachers will be going to union meetings. We are covering each others classes so school will still be open.
Ngā mihi,
Pounamu Teachers.

Year 4 - 2023
We are finalising which teachers will be working with this group. The year 4s are likely to be based in Rooms 4 & 5. They will be working collaboratively together, separately most of the time from the y2/3s. We are looking forward to it being an exciting and challenging year for them.
Library
Please remember to return library books! Some children have not been able to get new ones because they have books still at home.
We have turns going to the library on Fridays. On an odd week Rooms 3 & 5 go, on an even week Rooms 2 & 4 go.Covid
We have had a few positive covid cases at school.
Under current Ministry of Health guidelines, positive Covid cases must isolate at home for 7 days, starting at Day 0 on the day that they test positive. if your child tests positive, please contact the office immediately, so that we can work with you to calculate your child's return to school date.
If your child is a Household Contact they must test daily for 5 days from the first positive test result in their house.
We encourage mask wearing to keep everyone safe. Let's keep working together, so we are able to keep school open and fully staffed for the rest of the year.
Toys and Lollies
Lollies are great as a treat but we would prefer them not to be at school.
We appreciate your cooperation with this.
Hats - Ngā Pōtae/Sunscreen
IF YOU HAVE ANY SPARE WIDE BRIM HATS AT HOME WE WOULD LOVE SOME MORE AT SCHOOL.
If you have a child that needs sunscreen we appreciate it if you could put this on in the morning. We have some spare sunscreen for top ups if needed too.
Stationery
We sell all the books needed at school and can add the cost to your account for you to pay later. We will send you an email to let you know we have done this. Most of the books are about $3.
Let us know if you would prefer to provide your own or if you have any that were sent home in Term 1 you can return them for us to use.
Thanks.
Important Reminder!
No Nuts!!
We appreciate your co-operation.
