CHS Viking News
December 12, 2018
Viking Family,
Viking Family,
It's a great time to be a Viking! I've seen great things happening in our classrooms, teachers and students engaging in some outstanding learning activities. Our students PSAT scores just came in and we are very pleased with our scores, and the continued improvement in the scores from year to year. Though the PSAT is just one piece of evidence that we use to assess academic excellence, it is always good to see that the work of our students and staff is paying off. The competitive Drama program represented CHS in spectacular fashion, winning the state Drama championship! Our brand new Viking Court held its first competitions last Friday, our wrestling room and weight room are now being used daily and the new entry is a beautiful way to enter our school every day! The year continues to fly by at an unbelievable pace, and winter break is now just around the corner. I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for sending your students to us, and trusting us with such an important task of educating them and preparing them for their future. I hope everyone in the Viking Community has a wonderful holiday season and a safe, relaxing time with friends and family.
Once a Viking, Always a Viking!

To access the Personal College Profile (Brag Sheet):
- Log into Career Cruising
- Click on menu arrow – located to the right of the student name
- Select “My Education”
- Click “Update Profile” in the “Personal College Profile” Box.
Direct Admissions Letters and Apply Now Idaho
High school seniors will receive a letter from the Idaho State Board of Education this fall. This letter notifies students of which Idaho colleges and universities they meet admissions requirements for based on their GPA and test scores.
This letter is the first step towards acceptance. While the letter ensures a spot will be held for students for the Fall 2019 semester, students must complete the appropriate school application by February 15th. This process has been made easier with the roll-out of the Apply Now – Idaho website!
Idaho students can apply to 10 Idaho colleges and universities on one application. There are no applications fees when using Apply Idaho Now. The site opened October 1st.
