What's the Buzz?!?

A look back...
Although we all enjoyed a long weekend and a bonus snow day, I think I speak for all of us when I say 3 day weeks are JAM PACKED! I thank all of you for adjusting your schedules to accommodate testing. Also, a big thank you to our Specials teachers who stepped up to the plate to help us out with testing!
Lauren Lancey will be with us all week to finish up CoGat testing and make-ups. This will enable Mallory to continue to pull students and follow her regular schedule without interruption. I'd like to take a moment to thank Mallory for her expertise in scheduling and facilitating all of the testing.
My formal observations are in full swing and are going really well! I have enjoyed being in your classrooms and watching you interact with your students. For those of you who I have already observed I will be scheduling a post-observation with you. I ask for you patience with this as my schedule has been increasingly busier with trying to get to each teacher's classroom.
Thanks to Kathy Ott, Mary Alice, Linda, and Colleen for their help in organizing and facilitating the 8th grade parent meeting. It is so important for our parents, in any grade, to see how we work together in order to prepare them for upcoming activities and communicate well.
Finally, I'd like to thank all of you for completing the most recent OCSAA activity. The next step is for the Steering Committee to meet, discuss, and organize the results.
I will be requesting help once again from the faculty in the near future! I am planning to form two additional committees, one for Belief Statements and one for Mission Statement. The purpose of these two committees will be to review the recommendations made by the staff during our inservice day and rewrite or enhance these two statements. Once that is done, both committees will present what they have come up with to the full faculty for a vote. If you are interested in either of these committees please let me know. I would like to invite those who are not on the Steering Committee to be a part of this so that we can gain a broader faculty involvement.
I hope you have been enjoying this sunshine and beautiful weather and that you are ready to go for a full week ahead! See you tomorrow!
