Early years
Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809 in Hardin County, Kentucky. Lincoln lived in a one bedroom log cabin of a farm known as Knob Creek Farm. Although Lincoln lacked the education he was a outstanding carpenter and farmer.Lincoln also served as a member of the jury on occasion.
Contribution to the civil war.
Lincoln was a military commander during the civil war. He thought that he could abolish slavery while being a military commander. During the civil war Lincoln saved the Union and freed slaves. Also during the civil war Lincoln added the Gettysburg address.

Life after the civil war
After the war Lincoln was in a deep depression. The loss of his son due to the war was always on his mind . His wife mental state did not help ether. He often turned his anger or sadness into humor by speaking a great amount of speeches of the meaning of the civil war.
