IMPORTANT PARKING LOT REMINDERS
To help the congestion in the school parking lot, In-District/Resident students are encouraged to ride the bus to school. You will find the bus schedules posted on your Skyward Family Access wall.
Student drop off may begin at 7:50 a.m. in the main parking lot. After buses have all arrived and left (usually by 7:55 a.m.), you may use either parking lot (Activities Entrance (Circle Drive) or Main Entrance parking lot) to drop off your child(ren). Note that if you use the Activities Entrance for drop off, you must exit on Nagawicka Road.
Arrival:
Bus Students: Begins at 7:45 a.m.
Vehicle Drop-Off in Main Lot: Begins at 7:50 a.m. (tardy bell is 8:04 a.m.)
Vehicle Drop-Off in Activities Entrance: Begins after all buses have arrived and left at approximately 7:55 a.m.
Students may enter either the Activities Entrance doors or the Main Entrance doors.
Departure:
Bus Students: Buses depart at 3:20 p.m.
Vehicle Pick-Up: Student dismissal is 3:10 p.m.
Vehicles may not enter the school parking lot from the Nagawicka Road entrance, however, you exit the school parking lot this way if using the Activities Entrance. See the parking lot map on the school website>My School>About LCS>Pick Up/Drop Off.
If one lot is backed-up, use the other lot. Students may safely walk into school from both locations by following the sidewalk.
If buses are present in the Activities Entrance, your vehicle may not enter that lot. You must instead go to the Main Entrance parking lot to drop off your child. Do not enter the Activities Entrance if a bus is present or it is prior to 7:55 a.m.
The Activities Entrance is one lane. Please do not pass others in the inside lane.
THERE IS NO PARKING IN OR ALONG THE CIRCLE DRIVE AT ACTIVITES ENTRANCE DUE TO BUS TRAFFIC.
We welcome you to help your child, but this must be done in the parking lot, not the drop-off/pick-up lane. Please park your vehicle and walk your child across the parking lot to the sidewalk. You may not hold up the drop-off/pick-up lane. The flow must keep moving. If your child is having trouble, please pull away and park in a parking spot. Do not exit your car to assist your child(ren) in the drop-off/pick-up lane.
Children may not walk the parking lot without a parent/guardian. They must remain on the sidewalk until their parent/guardian parks their car and walks to the sidewalk or pulls up to the sidewalk.

Heather Thurin
School Counselor& Guidance Teacher
Hello all! My name is Shelby Behnke and I am Heather Thurin’s school counseling intern for the semester. A little bit about me, I am in my sixth semester in the Master’s in Counseling program at Mount Mary University. Prior to starting at Lake Country, I worked with kids of all ages in many different settings, including summer camps, hospitals, children’s museums, and after school programs. When I am not at school or work, I am likely reading or exploring the outdoors. I am excited to get to know all of you this semester!

LCS GARDEN - IT'S A WRAP!
We had a student plant one special carrot seed this spring and as Mrs. Gonzalez started clearing the garden with some students, he had the honor of pulling this beauty! Not sure what the record for the longest carrot is, but this is pretty impressive and is definitely a record here at LCS! Way to go Dom!
