CGS Weekly Message
3/6-3/10
Good afternoon,
Happy Sunday!
Our 23-24 Enrollment Lottery has officially CLOSED! Goodluck to all that are in the lottery or know friends or family members that are. We are excited as we had a RECORD-BREAKING application year of almost 1,000 applications of new students and families wanting to join the wonderful things happening at Clover Garden School!! We wish everyone luck and can't wait to add more amazing students and families to our Growing Grizzly Family! #CGSisBETTERthanBEST! #SchoolofChoice
**SAVE THE DATE:
- Next year, our "Open House" will take place as it did this school year on the 1st day of school which is on Monday, July 24, 2023. This was very successful last year and helped all of our students and families transition easier into the school year by having a staggered entry on the first day of school. This also helped solidify our enrollment which takes place on the very first day of school!! All enrolled students MUST be on campus on the first day of school to be counted in our enrollment for the school year. This is a state requirement. Charter schools like CGS are funded based on our enrollment on Day 1. The remainder of our funding is based on an average of student attendance during days 1-20. The first 20 days are VITAL to our school's funding for the entire school year.
- No educational absence requests will be granted or approved if the dates fall within the first 20 days of the 23-24 school year. Please plan accordingly. Attendance is VITAL for our school ALL year but especially on Days 1 through 20. Thank you for making attendance a priority for our students. More details about the 1st day of school expectations and time frames will be shared soon!
The end of Quarter 3 is approaching fast. All student work and missing assignments are due no later than Friday, March 10th 2023. Please contact your student's teacher for their specific deadline for turning in missing work.

Feedback Form FAQ 22-23
“Feedback Form” Submissions from week of 2/20:
Can the monthly lunch menu/reminder be included in Sunday newsletter BEFORE it’s too late to order. Normally, by the time it appears in the Sunday newsletter the first week of the month is already closed.
- We apologize for the delay! We will do our best to send those messages out before Academic Breaks in the future as quickly as we can. As a reminder, the lunch menus are also posted on our school's Facebook page and website for reference as those are more instantaneous posts than waiting for the weekly messages that do not run over Academic Breaks. Thank you for the feedback!
If you missed something or just need clarity on an event, etc. please fill out the form found here: https://forms.gle/L7oKFaRZUuiuh8JH7 This form will be monitored weekly and answers to frequently asked questions will be provided in the weekly Sunday message.

Student Council Fundraising Goal
Clover Garden High School “Field OF DREAMS”
“If you build it, they will come!”
Do you have dreams? The CGS Student Council does! We have set a $25,000 fundraising goal to add outdoor athletic facilities to our new high school campus! Funds will allow us to add a concrete playing surface accommodating basketball, volleyball, and tennis, as well as the PE and Fitness classes! Be on the lookout for campus fundraisers coming soon. If you, your family, your business, your friends, etc., are interested in helping make this project a reality, please submit your tax-deductible contribution to the Clover Garden School front office. Checks can be made out to "CGS PTT"- with the memo line stating- Student Council Goals Drive.
The CGS Student Council has already started its efforts and has raised more than $2K! Together we can make this happen! Have faith–we are keeping alive the Grizzly dream that was started in 2001! #letsgo

Timeline:
CGS Admin and our CGS BOD in conjunction with our partners at the Office of Charter Schools are working on back up/contingency plans to continue instruction in the event that our new high school building doesn't have a certificate of occupancy on our first day of school- July 24th, 2023.
We ask for patience and flexibility as growing pains are real and do exist! : ) Our plans in case we have to utilize them will include the least amount of stress and inconvenience to our CGS families as possible.
A detailed update to our families will be sent out towards the end of March with more details regarding school start details for our High School students.
