Early Years
He was born on feb,12 1809 in a log cabin in the back woods of Hogenville, KY. At the age of 7 to 21 years old he spent his time on a farm in southern Indiana. So he had poor education, because was self educated. And at 9 years old Lincoln lost his mother, Nancy, who died after a from a illness.
Contribution of the civil war
In the war he was the main contribute to way the north won. He was the president of the north, union, in the civil war. Elected on march 1861, soon after North Carolina left, and then soon after that more left and it created the confederation .In the war we wanted to take the not abolish slavery in the begging but make it stop growing. Is plan for the war was the anaconda plan. This include that the union would surround the south and shut down all the port in the south, this plan was a long approach to the war. He also set up more railroads and telegraph poles for communication and transportation. This enabled him to send troops faster and to talk to the general and hour to hour update on the war. This lead him to win the war.
Life After the civil war
Abraham Lincoln was shot by John Wilkes Booth in the presidential box at Ford's Theater, Washington D.C. 7 day after the war ended. Abe Lincoln is buried at Springfield, IL. today he has many memorials some of them are like Abraham Lincolns Memorials and many school are call after him.
