Principal Perry's Perspective

Weekly Faculty Notes September 2017

As you already know, student testing season is coming upon us soon. Sequoia Middle School will begin testing students beginning the week of April 11th and finishing by May 20th. Seventh and Eighth grade students will test first in English, then in Math and then Sixth grade students will test in both Math and English. Students will test with their academic teacher for both subjects during their academic periods. Eighth grade students will also complete the STAR Science test over the course of two academic periods during the testing window with their Science teacher. It is important that all students are present everyday at school, but to support Sequoia in keeping the number of make-up tests given to a minimum, please make sure your child is early to school and prepared to do their best. Thank you for your support in this important matter.

NPHS Counseling Presentation for Future 9th Grade Students

NPHS counselors are providing an evening presentation to all 8th grade families. In the presentation, counselors cover the 9th grade course sequence, graduation requirements, University of California and California State University requirements, summer school enrollment, and Four-year planning to all families. Newbury Park HS suggests all families attend this evening presentation; even those families with current or past Panthers. The presentation will start at 6:00 PM in the NPHS PAC.
