RVHS Newsletter November 20th 2022
Happy Thanksgiving
Message From The Principal
As our school (and district) head off to a week long vacation, I want to wish all of you a HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I hope that the time you spend with family and friends is encouraging and (amidst all the preparation for the big meal) that you still get some downtime to relax!
A week is a good chunk of time and your students will inevitably have some "extra" time on their hands. Since we're right at the end of the semester that "extra" time can be put to good use getting some assignments done and doing any makeup work that their teachers are allowing to be turned in. I encourage you to check in with your kids about assignments they're working on and have a discussion about any progress that they're making.
Enjoy your Thanksgiving and we'll see your students back here on Monday, November 28, 2022!

SAFE- Canned Food Drive
Thank you to all the students and staff that brought in canned foods!! This was one of the biggest turn outs that Rancho Vista High School has seen!! The generosity here at RVHS will help many people. We are proud of our Eagles!!
STUDENTS OF THE WEEK
Samuel Talhuron
Sam always comes to class ready to work. In addition, he is well liked among his peers and teachers due to his kind and light-hearted personality.
Vyness Abahyon
Vyness is nice and she works hard. She is passing all her classes and is a pleasure to have in my class. Vyness represents our school at it's best. A great person moving forward and doing their best!

Ms. Gina --RVHS Social Worker
Teenage years are a critical time when guys and girls make choices that affect the rest of their lives. The empowerment groups provide a safe place where teens can talk about what is really going on in their lives, and a community of mentors and peers who listen, believe in them and help them make better choices. This approach gives teens permission to tell the truth about the challenges all teens face, make their own decisions on how to deal with those challenges, and begin to take responsibility for their choices and the consequences of their actions. It also provided tools needed to navigate through the teen years and transition positively into adulthood.
