Oster Newsletter
January 24, 2024
This week Oster School is participating in The Great Kindness Challenge, which is a week long program dedicated to creating a culture of kindness and compassion in our communities.
To help our students practice kindness and put their compassion into action, we are sharing the Kindness Challenge checklist. We are encouraging our students to complete as many acts of kindness as possible at school with the hope they feel inspired to continue them at home.
Together, we will lift each other up, cheer each other on, and show the world that Kindness Matters! Go Cougars!

Student Mental Health and Awareness
As part of Union School District’s ongoing support of our students’ mental health and wellness, a friendly emotional wellness resource poster explaining coping strategies and support resources will be made available on all 4th and 5th Grade student Chromebooks. Please take a moment to review the “Be Kind To Your Mind” resource poster with your child at home. Teachers will be discussing this information in class to further support our students emotional health and wellness.
