Moore Street School Lead Learner's Address:

Greetings To Each Of You:

Over the past two weeks we have had a lot going on here at Moore Street School. A heartfelt thank you to our very own Mr. Willie Linder being honored for Environmental Specialist Day. (pictured below). Our Mentoring Monday sessions have been rich and empowering. Thank you to the staff for honoring Dr. Geter and me for National Boss's Day. Congratulations to those 2024 seniors who took their senior pictures recently; however, keep in mind that the picture is not our goal. Our goal is a high school diploma!

A great big thank you the parents/families of our Moore Street School students. We connected with 100% of our families for parent-teacher conferences. Thank you for being an invaluable partner in your child's education process. Thanks also for participating in the Fall Family Input Survey. Additionally thank you to the students and staff for helping MSS post a 93.3% graduation rate. (Click on link) https://youtu.be/aJPpsTxcv9U?si=bour7RSaEW1XTVQK

Please keep in mind that End of Course Tests will be coming up very soon for our high school students. Many students will be mid-month testing the first week of November, and the main administration for first semester is in the first week of December. Please encourage your students to work hard on EOC preparation over the next few weeks!

On Wednesday, October 25, 2023 MSS will have our PBIS Kickoff at the Shamrock Bowling Center. More information will be sent home on Monday about this event.

Parents please see flyers below for upcoming Family Engagement Activities.

Parents please remind your son/daughter about our dress code: hoods, tights (as stand alone pants) and slides are NOT permitted.

Parents please pay close attention to the guidance for students under the age of 16 attending sporting events. Flyer posted below.

Our Evening School Program (ESP) is up and running. ESP is great for remediation, enrichment, and attendance recovery. Evening School hours are Monday and Friday Asynchronous (virtual) and Tuesday-Thursday in person from 2:30-6:00. Our attendance recovery plans have been implemented and students are being required to attend our ESP in person session to make up days missed.

If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to reach out. Again the phone number is 478-353-8400. We are here to serve. Thank you for being a valuable part of our Dublin City School (DCS) family.
