Hello Stapleton Community!
We hope you had a wonderful MLK Jr. holiday! Here are some updates and reminders this week:
Covid-19
Please see the district-wide Covid update that Dr. Tremblay shared on Friday.
Here are the links to the District's Covid Dashboard where you will find the most current numbers for the District and each school. Here are today's number and School Year 21-22 aggregate numbers:
Please continue to monitor your child daily for symptoms of COVID:
- Fever of 100.0°F (37.7C) or higher or chills
- Cough
- Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Headache
- Muscle aches or body aches
- Nausea, or vomiting, or diarrhea
- Fatigue
- Nasal congestion or runny nose
If your child should experience any of these symptoms, you should have them tested right away even if fully vaccinated. They should not attend school if they are showing symptoms and waiting for test results.
The numbers our community, state, and country are seeing with this recent surge are most definitely deeply concerning. I know our District and school Covid teams are working hard to follow and adhere to the guidance that the CDC, Massachusetts DESE, and our local BOH recommends to stop the spread and keep our students safe. We know that our hard-working Stapleton team are committed to follow this ever-changing guidance and Nurse McLeod and our whole team are working around the clock to ensure we are consistently diligent in our efforts. As we are notified of updated guidance, we will share it with our school community. The district will also send notifications regarding changes in guidance.
Thank you for your partnership in ensuring a healthy, safe school community for all!

Recess
In alignment with Framingham School Committee policy, students in K-5 now receive 30 minutes of recess daily. Please note that we hold outdoor recess as much as possible, weather permitting.
If you are in need of warm winter wear, please reach out to our Social Worker, Ms. Jeffery at ejeffery@framingham.k12.ma.us. Thanks to the generous support of our Parent Teacher Organization and our family community, we have items to share!
Parking During Student Dismissal
Please refrain from parking your vehicle adjacent to the front of the Stapleton School building on Elm Street as this is a safety concern. Our FPS vans make frequent stops in front of the school as that is their designated pickup area for students who utilize FPS vans for transportation. Additionally, buses frequently pass in front of the area, which could block views. Thank you for your help in ensuring a safe and efficient dismissal process for all students!
