School Improvement in Action:

A Showcase of Action Research

Action Research Showcase

Please join the teachers of the Teacher Leader Academy of Marietta City Schools as they present the findings from their year-long Action Research Projects.

These teachers from across the district have spent the past year engaged in a strategic and systematic cycle of inquiry related to their practice. They have sought answers to one or more research questions by collecting and analyzing data from students, classrooms, and schools. These teacher researchers have situated their studies within the context of current academic research, and the overall goals of the process are to provide a framework for making research-based decisions about instruction and to identify for themselves and others the implications of their findings on teaching and learning.

Their showcase of research is appropriate for all teachers and administrators and is designed as a drop-in, casual event. Feel free to attend at any time during 2:30-4:30.

You don't want to miss the fantastic and insightful findings that these teachers have researched using their classrooms and their students.
