Beginning of Grade 3 Reading Test

Each September, third-grade students in North Carolina take the Beginning of Grade 3 Reading Test. This is part of the NC Read to Achieve Legislation, which "ensure(s) that every student read at or above grade level by the end of 3rd grade and continue to progress in reading proficiency so that he or she can read, comprehend, integrate, and apply complex texts needed for secondary education and career success."

Bryan Road students will take this assessment on Wednesday, 9/7, at 9:30 a.m. Please make sure your student is well-rested and gets to school on time that day. Families will receive individual score reports as soon as they are issued from the district.

🏃🏽‍♀️ It's Go Time! Don't Wait to Join! 🏃🏼‍♂️

We have two fundraisers each year at our school, the Fun Run in the fall and a carnival in the spring. These two fundraisers allow us to:

1. Provide teacher mini grants (so they can do hands on fun things in their classrooms)

2. Bring in special groups for school assemblies

3. Keep our school events throughout the year free

4. Make sure all students have equitable access (ex. provides a school t shirt for every student)

5. Teacher Appreciation

6. Special Projects (ex. shade structure on playground, technology programs, etc.)

The day is here! You can now register for our Bryan Road Elementary Fun Run! We aim to raise $25,000 for the PTA budget, teacher mini-grants, school assemblies, and free year-round school events. Registering is easy and free!

Message from the PTA

Hello parents! A new school year is upon us and the Teacher's Lounge needs to be stocked! It is a great thing for the teachers to have a space to call their own! To get coffee if running late that morning, grab a spoon they forgot to pack for their lunch, and just to even have real paper towels or Clorox wipes to clean up

Please consider signing up on the Sign Up Genius and bring in some supplies soon. OR use the Amazon Wish List I created so you can just add things to your cart, and get the items directly sent to the school office!
