It's Book Fair Time!
Our fall book fair will start on November 18th. Students will be able to come in with their classes to preview and purchase books and trinkets. The link below also lets you preview the book fair. A new item is the Book Fair e-wallet for parents to pre-load an account with a selected amount of funds. These book fairs allow the school to bring in authors and provide reading enhancement activities for all to enjoy.Click here for our Book Fair online portal!

Spanish for Spanish Speakers Assessment
The Spanish for Spanish Speakers placement test will be given to 7th grade students who have indicated Spanish as the home language on the Home Language Survey. The purpose of this test is to identify students eligible to participate in the Spanish for Spanish Speakers Program. This course of study is designed for proficient Spanish speakers and allows four credits of Spanish to be earned in two academic years while in high school or two credits in junior high. This assessment is for placement purposes only and does not award credit for any course.
This assessment will take place at WCJH on December 4, 2019 during the school day. Letters will be sent home for students that have already been identified, and no further action is required unless you do not want your child tested.
If you do not received a letter and would like your child to participate in the assessment please contact Kodi Holmes at KodiLHolmes@katyisd.org before December 2, 2019.
