TCA Times
Wayne Central Middle School Newsletter
Greetings!
This is an oddly-timed newsletter, but there is some timely information I wanted to send out and some upcoming, exciting events I want to make everyone aware of: attached to the newsletter, there are three documents which detail an exciting Relay for Life event that we will be hosting on May 26th from 2:15-5:00. The documents include a parent information letter, a permission slip, and step by step directions for donations to Relay for Life online.
Secondly, we are extremely excited to be hosting a Literacy Through Technology Night on May 18th beginning at 6:00. You can access the information for this event here: https://docs.google.com/a/waynecsd.org/document/d/1CRcaYtYPc2BQh3cyaIXibfrNQKYrA0nOdAfjXywOPp4/edit?usp=sharing
I will also attach this document as a pdf.
Please follow us on Twitter @WayneCentralMS to see some pictures from around the school!
Have a great rest of your week and please let us know if you have any questions about any of these events. We look forward to seeing you here over the next few weeks/events.
Sincerely,
Derek
Students of the Week & Class Acts
The following students have contributed positively to the climate of our middle school and have been nominated for Student of the Week:
Katie Jagoda was nominated by the Neptune for being a responsible and courteous student who loves to participate in class and share her good ideas. She has a positive attitude and consistently tries her hardest. Because of her hard work and continuous effort she is a role model for others on the team.
Daniel Merrell was nominated by the Pluto team. Daniel is one of the hardest working students on the Pluto team. His effort is amazing, and he is constantly looking for ways to improve.
Aaliyah Zenelovic was nominated by the Pluto team. Aaliyah is a kind and hard working student. She is an active participator in class, and is a positive role model to her peers.
Sydney Bouchard was nominated by the Jupiter team for being a hardworking student who is respectful to both students and staff. We have loved having you this year!
Nate Cwiklinski was nominated by the Saturn team. Nate is always polite and kind to his classmates. In class, he works hard to produce exemplar work and wants to do well. Keep up the good work!
Olivia Crawford was nominated by the Mercury team. Olivia is always going above and beyond. She helps others and is always pleasant! Congrats!
Katie Pierce was nominated by the Mars team. Katie always gives her work in class and homework 110%. Katie is incredibly kind and is very insightful when she contributes in her classes.
We would also like to recognize our Class Act recipients for their actions which exhibit positive character and leadership traits.
Matt Simpson our 6th grade recipient is recognized for Service to Others, Positive Peer Influence and Caring. Matt noticed a student sitting alone and upset so he went to the students table to ask him what was wrong. He then made room at his table for the student to sit with him and his friends.
Christian Cialini our 7th grade recipient is recognized for Achievement Motivation. Christian made a great decision to stay in Math AIS because he doesn’t feel confident in the current unit.
Max Fisher our 8th grade recipient is recognized for Service to Others and Positive Peer Influence. Max came into class and supported three students with a group activity. This demonstrated leadership and cooperation.
Principals’ recipients for this week:
Mara Pieroni – Mara is an outstanding young lady. Not only does she excel academically, she is also involved in several extracurricular offerings. Mara has a great sense of humor and always has a smile on her face. She brightens the day for anyone lucky enough to be around her. Keep up the great work, Mara!
Congratulations to all our Students of the Week and Class Act recipients!!
