PSAT/NMSQT and Other Testing Information
The PSAT is offered by CollegeBoard as part of the National Merit Scholarship Qualification process. The PSAT will be offered for Juniors on Tuesday, January 26th. Registration will be open on November 30th thru December 31st.
More information will be distributed in your ELA classes before Thanksgiving break. The fee is $24, but fee waivers are available. Contact Mr. Rodriguez at eddie.rodriguez@dvusd.org if you have any questions.
The ACT Exam will be provided (for free) to all Juniors on Tuesday, March 30th. You will want to make sure you are in school on this day to take advantage of this opportunity.
ASVAB is usually offered each Fall for Juniors and Seniors but is currently being postponed. If you are interested in taking it, please contact your military recruiter.
Education Career Action Plan (ECAP)
Senior ECAP Presentation was completed in Government and Economics classes early September. Here is a link to the presentation
Junior ECAP Presentation and registration was completed in ELA classes in October.

Sophomore ECAP Presentation and registration will be completed in ELA classes in November.
Freshmen ECAP, Registration and Transcript Review will be completed in ELA Classes in Mid to Late January.
It's very important to verify that your course requests are correct and that you have selected the courses you want for next school year. Not sure what to take? Ask! Counselors are available before school, after school, at lunch and by appointment.

West-MEC and CTE Programs

The Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Program (HOBY)
The Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Program’s mission is to inspire and develop our global community of youth and volunteers to a life dedicated to leadership, service and innovation.
