St. Joseph eUpdate

Hearts Aflame For the Love of Christ

Moving Along with Mrs. Maddox

Wow!!! What a week for our little school! All week long our children were cheering, yelling, hopping, bouncing, and buzzing with pride. Out of uniform in some fashion every day and anticipating a Super Bowl Championship, means hype and excitement all week long!!! Thank you to our faculty and staff for making this week special for our students. We ❤️Our Catholic School!!!!

This week’s message is short and to the point ….. Check out our new website on Sunday morning!!! Wake up, grab your coffee, and enjoy scrolling through our new web sight. We will be live on 2/2/20. I cannot wait to show off our beautiful school via the web. You are going to be so proud of what you see. St. Joseph students have "Hearts Aflame for the Love of Christ" and it shows!!!

Enrollment will open next week. Look for an important email in your inbox, you can find the same information on our new website, and in next week's eUpdate. You've been asking for the 2020-2021 "TENTATIVE" calendar, I've included it in this week's eUpdate, scroll to the bottom of the calendar section, enjoy .... happy planning!!!

Go Chiefs!!!!

With a Grateful Heart,

Jodie Maddox, Principal

Nurse's Notes

We have had cases of Strep throat in middle school and third grade. Symptoms of Strep infection can include fever (with or without a sore throat), stomach pain, vomiting and headache. If diagnosed with Strep, students must remain out of school for 24 hours following the initial dose of antibiotic.

There has been a nationwide increase in influenza and influenza-like illnesses this week. We are seeing an increase in these illnesses at school and most grade levels have had exposures. As a reminder, symptoms of influenza can include fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headache, fatigue and occasionally vomiting and diarrhea (more common in children than adults).

Please continue to report diagnosed cases of influenza and Strep to the school nurse. Remind your children to cover their coughs and use good hand washing techniques to help prevent the spread of illness.
