Where Learning Takes Flight

A Note from Mrs. Tallent

We hope you and your families were able to have a restful break and enjoyed some family time! While we enjoyed having a break, it was nice to have our Cardinals back on campus. Our teachers are busy preparing for conferences and have already started having some. Conferences are a chance for our teachers to share how students are progressing so far this school year, how we are personalizing learning for students, and how you can support your student at home. Parents play a huge role in student success, so please make sure you sign up for a conference with your child's teacher if you have not done so already.

Yesterday, our first nine weeks report cards went live in HAC for 3-5 and were emailed out for K-2 students. If you are having trouble viewing your child's report card in HAC (3-5) or did not receive an email from the district (K-2), please contact Jennifer Lopez and she can assist you.

Friday we will be hosting our first Community Movie Night and we hope you can join us! We can't wait to connect and enjoy the event with our own families as well!

Heart Walk

I’m thrilled to announce that Humble ISD and FCE will be participating in the 2021 Greater Lake Houston Heart Walk supporting the American Heart Association this year!

Get ready to lace up your sneakers and attend the Greater Lake Houston Heart Walk, a non-competitive, family oriented 5k walk that invites everyone to come out and get walking! The Greater Lake Houston Heart Walk is scheduled for October 30th, 2021 at 8:00am at Lone Star College Kingwood. It is an inclusive event that allows anyone to create a team, grab their friends and family, and help fundraise to fight heart disease and stroke.

Here’s how to get started!

  • Click here to visit the Heart Walk Page on the Greater Lake Houston Heart Walk Website to Register for FCE Cardinals or Scan the easy to use QR code below and search for our school’s page.

What’s next?
  • Connect your Heart Walk page to a Facebook Fundraiser
  • Download the Heart Walk app or access your Heart Walk Hub online- this is how you will participate in our Activity Challenge and it will allow you to easily ask your friends and family to support your team.
  • Utilize the Heart Walk Resources and American Heart Association healthy living tips & tricks to share with family and friends to get heart-healthy!

I know we can make a difference together!
