This week we will explore the concepts of Friendship and Kindness. What does it mean to be a friend? What does it mean to be kind? These are concepts we often talk about, but young children do not always understand the meaning of these concepts. During Circle Time, we will explore what friendship is and what it means to be kind. We will be on the lookout for acts of kindness to note in our Kindness Basket. The books we will read include A Friend is Someone Who Likes You, Stellaluna, and A Splendid Friend Indeed.
This week in Kindergarten we will plant an Amaryllis Bulb. We will record the growth and transformation of this beautiful and delicate flower in our Plant Journals. This is a fun way to develop observation skills and math skills in the area of science. Stayed tuned, we will keep you posted!
