LAST CALL: Inclusive Leadership Conference
On February 13, 2016, Temple University and Campus Philly will host a one-day leadership conference for ALL Philadelphia-area college students. The 2016 Inclusive Leadership Conference will give college students the chance to enhance their leadership knowledge and skills through presentations, workshops, dialogues, and panels on topics related to inclusive leadership and social change. This year’s conference will focus on the journey from student leader to civic leader.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Explore their personal leadership values.
- Share best practices in leading with ethics and inclusiveness.
- Learn about the collective impact theory and how it can be used to bring about positive social change.
- Walk away with strategies and tools to institute collaborative programming within their own campuses, the Philadelphia community, and our greater world.

February Events
To Be Young Gifted and Black Panel Discussion
2/2/16 | 6-7:30 pm | Temple Performing Arts Center | 1.5 leadership hours
Community leaders and activists representing varied perspectives discuss the momentum of the Black Lives Matter Movement and what lies ahead in achieving social justice for black communities.
The discussion will focus on the role of celebrity entertainers in the #blacklivesmatter movement.
Students will have the opportunity to ask questions.
Gear Up and Serve

Sometimes leadership is a hard and heavy burden to bear. But, when kids are involved smiles seem to emerge and laughter ensues. This semester we are offering an opportunity to do just that and lend your time to younger children of the neighboring communities. Need more info? Join us for this info session and see if this is the right opportunity for you.
Rising Queens Community Service: Interest Meeting

Rising Queens is a non-profit organization in Philadelphia that mentors young girls. Rising Queens participates in developmental programming every week. The office of leadership and development will be working with Rising Queens attending one of their programming sessions to help with the lesson plan. For more information and to sign up, join us at the interest meeting Tuesday, February 23rd at 3:00pm.

This film discusses the community park located in the North Philadelphia section of the city at 16th and Diamond street. Free admission and concessions.

Leadership Workshop: Clarifying My Values

Knowing your values is important to college student leadership development as it guides the activities and opportunities you choose to get involved with. Join the Office of Leadership Development for a one-hour workshop that will help you clarify your values and share how you can use this information to make decisions.
Model the Way Workshop

How do you increase your following? Set the example! In this workshop, you’ll learn and discuss the first of the five practices of exemplary leadership: Modeling the Way.
How to Find a Student Job!

In this workshop, we will discuss employment options on and off campus, how to find them, and how attain them. We will also explain how leadership skills can help you land the job and how these short term jobs will benefit you in your career.
Inspire Shared Vision & Enable Others to Act Workshop

You know who you are and how to set the example, but how do you inspire people to share your passions and take action? In this workshop, you will learn and discuss the 2nd and 3rd practices of exemplary leadership: Inspire Shared Vision and Enable Others to Act.
