Jaguars Lead the Way

Message from the Principal

Dear Families,

We officially only have 7 days of school left in the 2019-2020 school year.

To my seniors - the time has come for your last week of high school. It's a strange one for sure, but nevertheless, don't forget all of the time and effort you have made over the last four years. Don't forget the friends you have made and the people you met. You never know who will end up in your life later on - so always be open to new friendships - from new people or people you never thought you'd be friends with.

Remember, in a world where you can be anything, be kind.

I wish you all the best as you move on from high school and know that if you ever need anything, the Jaguar Familia is here to help.

---

To the freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. Finals are next week and though this may feel like an anticlimactic end to the school year - know that we can't wait to have you back next year. What that's going to look like, we're still not 100% sure but we will keep you and your parents updated as we get new information.

In the meantime, stay home, stay safe.

Sincerely,

Ms. Moreno

Math Shout Outs

Message from Mr. Bedoya

Math 2: they have been working with the equation of the circle. They drew a bear on Desmos using equations created by them.

I want to highlight the good mood that Damien brought to the class and the exemplary effort done by Belen.

Math 3: they have been working with functions. Especially, with trigonometric functions. Students graphed each function and learned about them. I admire the punctuality and the good work Priscilla did during every class.

AP Calculus: Students were doing their best to pass the test. I appreciate the hard work done by Johvanna and Gabriela, who did not need anyone to push them to all the work needed during this difficult time. They will succeed in College.

My students have answered more than 10,000 questions in the last 30 days. Congratulations to all of them!

Department Spotlight- MATH

Ms. Boennighausen aka Ms. B

Ms. B has been enjoying her weekend hiking adventures with her brother. After their hike, they head downtown and grab a coffee. She transplanted succulents and enjoys her patio while creating lesson plans and studying. In case you didn't know, Ms. B is also a student. She has been social distancing with her nephews and they work on their coursework together. (Ms. B passed all 3 classes this semester).

Mr. Bedoya

Mr. Bedoya loves teaching Math and is grateful for all the students who show up with a positive attitude and work hard without complaining. Beside teaching Math, he has been spending his time cooking.
