Sageland MicroSociety Elementary
Parent Update Week of October 26, 2020
Scotties Can Do This!
Greetings Sageland Parents,
We are continuing to plan for quality virtual instruction that can be paired with in-person learning. Our buildings had a little more noise than usual. Our teachers began to make their way back to their classrooms and started the process of setting up their classrooms to allow for a safe return for our students. Old furniture, carpets, and computers were seen being removed from classrooms to make more space for our students. Our custodial team has been working diligently in preparing every classroom with the proper protective equipment for every student and teacher that will be back in our building.
Please continue to lean on me, our awesome assistant principal, and unbelievable teachers as we work to navigate the next 9 weeks of virtual learning. Remember that Sageland MicroSociety Elementary is the school it is today not just because of our students, staff, and community but also because of your incredible support throughout these unprecedented times.
We will begin entering our 2nd grading period on Monday, October 26th. Students will log in to their classes as they did in the first grading period, learn from their teachers, and complete their assignments.
Beginning Friday, October 30, 2020, students will be working with their teachers from 7:30-11:00 am. Teachers will create a rotation schedule to meet with students for individualized support. Schedules for students in Kindergarten- 3rd grade may vary depending on teacher professional development. Teachers will communicate schedule changes every week.
** Students who selected the "hybrid" or "face-to-face" option will return face-to-face on November 9th. All students on site on Fridays will physically attend their AM classes prior to beginning asynchronous instruction in the afternoons in a learning hub-type environment.
Continue to stay safe and healthy.
