March Madness Basketball & Bowling
Here's a bit of a re-cap...
All CP and Discovery 3rd Graders enjoyed half the day at SKY ZONE in Plymouth on Feb. 25! Check out the short video below!
Students spent the first few weeks of March working on dribbling, passing and shooting a basketball. While we don't play an official game during our unit, we did play a variety of different games that included basketball skills. Some of the games included: Dice Basketball; Make It, Take It; Knock Out; Dribble, Shoot, Score! and Shoot the Moon.
The end of March brought Bowling with it!! Bowling basics included: how to hold the ball, correct approach (3, 4 and 5 step approach) and proper release point. Some of the games/activities included: Bingo Bowling and Bowling for Bucks.
On Friday, March 18th, all of the 4th graders went bowling at Tuttle's Bowling Alley in Hopkins.
Spring Run/Games Clubs are now open! We will be offering clubs to all K-5th grade students this spring. Please note that these clubs will FILL UP FAST!! Check below for more information!

5th Grade Bike Trip
Tuesday, May 31st, 10am
5505 Doncaster Way
Did you know…the 5th grade Bike Trip is just around the corner??
I am in need of PARENT VOLUNTEERS!!! This trip will not happen without your help! In short, I'll need parent bikers (10-15), drivers & riders (3-4) and a few parents for ice cream handout at the end of the day. If you would like to volunteer, please contact me via e-mail.
Students will need to know how to ride a bike safely. They will also need a bike that is in good working condition (examples: tires are inflated properly, brakes work, handlebars secure, etc.). Dirt bikes are NOT recommended for this field trip. Students are required to wear a HELMET for safety! I will send a bike checklist home when the field trip gets closer. If you know your child will NOT be riding a bike the day of the field trip, but still plans to attend, I need to know ASAP so that I can make appropriate arrangements to get them to and from the parks.
Lastly, please note that our bike trip will be 7 MILES round trip…up and down some pretty big hills. Please consider biking with your son/daughter prior to our field trip so that they have built up some endurance and can bike the entire distance.
The rain date is set for Wednesday, May 1st.
