The Fall 2016 Paper Clover Fundraiser is coming October 5-16, 2016!

If you are involved in a 4-H Club, consider participating in store during the event to help increase fundraising dollars and be entered into the Paper Clover Participation Sweepstakes. Use the Fundraising Connections page to set up a visit with your local store.

During the semi-annual event, we invite friends and family to support 4-H by donating $1 at checkout in stores to contribute to scholarships that send kids in your state to 4-H camp and other leadership experiences.

Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports Ambassadors Training

The Nebraska 4-­H Shooting Sport Ambassadors Program is dedicated to leadership development in Nebraska 4­-H Shooting Sports participants. Through an annual seminar, it will teach life skills, public speaking and communication, as well as quality leadership traits that can be applied to a member’s 4­-H project and their student careers. The program will aim to produce quality leaders that will assist in the betterment of the Nebraska 4­-H Shooting Sports Program throughout their 4­-H career.

Applications for the Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports Ambassadors Program are currently being accepted until November 4, 2016. Participants must be at least 14 years 4-H age; enrolled for at least 1 year in a Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports Club/Program; show interest in leadership roles in their club, school, or community; willing and able to attend the Ambassador Training on November 19-21, 2016, at the UNL and at the Game and Parks Shooting Ranges in Lincoln; and willing to assist the Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports Advisory Committee develop the State 4-H Shooting Sports Program for the remainder of their 4-H eligibility.

  • Dodge County 4-H Ambassador Program - Due November 1, 2016
    The role of a Dodge County 4-H Ambassador is demanding and requires older 4-H youth (4-H age 16-18) who are dedicated, mature, dependable and interested in the purpose of the 4-H Ambassador program. The program is a one year commitment from January thru December with an opportunity to re-apply annually if eligible. Up to FIVE 4-H Ambassadors will be selected annually. Ambassadors will be advocates, role models, and teachers in the Dodge County 4-H Program. More information Here.
  • Career Portfolio & Record Book - Due November 1, 2016

    Dodge County's Career Portfolio program is an opportunity for 4-H members to submit a record of their involvement in not only 4-H, but in their schools and communities as well. By participating in this program, youth are able to keep record of their involvement from year to year. There are opportunities to compete at a county level and go on to compete at district and state, as well as national. All clover kids and 4-Hers are eligible to complete a career portfolio More Information Here

  • Diamond Clover - Due November 1, 2016

    The Nebraska 4-H Diamond Clover program encourages 4-H youth to engage in a variety of projects and activities that will enable members to acquire the life skills necessary to lead successful lives as a competent, caring, and contributing citizen. The program's overall goal is to provide 4-H members a rich and diverse learning experience. The Nebraska 4-H Diamond Clover Program is design for all ages of 4-H members.

    The program consists of six levels that require a 4-H member to plan and report a broad range of age-appropriate accomplishments. The program is designed to enable every 4-H member willing to exert the effort an opportunity to be recognized, regardless of how they are involved in 4-H. More Information Here

Up-coming programs in Raising Nebraska

October 21st – Pork: How it’s Raising and How it’s Braised – This is a day for adults and youth (must be 2 years old) to come enjoy. Adults will have pork food demonstrations focused on easy meals by Nebraska Pork Producer Jane Stone while youth will have their own program about pigs. Program is from 10 am to noon. Attendees must register by October 21st to attend.

October 24th thru October 27th – Pumpkin Galore – Register a class or group to attend a Pumpkin Day! Learn about the Pumpkin Life Cycle, inspect pumpkin vines up close, and paint your own pumpkin.
