Attendance Reminders!

  1. Sick-If your child is feeling ill, please do not call the front office to have them released, instead have them go to the nurse's office so we can assess their health concerns there and then we will call home if needed. We will be able to excuse them in Infinite Campus at this point.
  2. Early release-You must call the Early Release line at least two hours in advance to allow us time to listen to messages, find the student and get passes delivered. Your student may then show the pass to the teacher at the time of dismissal and leave the building. They do not need to check out at the front office. You must also give a return time if they will be returning to school before the end of the day.
  3. We will not be writing tardy passes for your student if they arrive late to school. If your student is tardy, they need to go straight to class. If a parent calls with a valid reason for the tardy, the attendance secretary will mark them excused in Infinite Campus.
  4. Out all day-Please remember to give a specific reason for your student's absence in order for it to be excused. If no reason is given, the absence will be unexcused.
  5. In an effort to avoid classroom disruptions, we do not call into classrooms.
  6. Please remember that we take hundreds of phone calls per day related to attendance and need up to 24 hours to get these entered into Infinite Campus, so we appreciate your patience with this.

We need your donations for our health room!

Please consider dropping donations of the following items to our front office for our clinic:

  • small waters
  • small regular Gatorades
  • small Gatorade Zeros
  • Goldfish packets
  • cheese cracker packets
  • peanut butter cracker packets

Our office is open 7am to 3:30 pm. We appreciate your support!

Showdown Shirts!

Showdown shirts can be purchased for $10 in two ways:

  • Between now and the end of school next Wednesday (9/13), you can pre-order and pay for your Showdown shirt on MySchoolBucks using the link HERE. You will also see QR codes around the building for this link. When T-shirts go on sale during lunches on the 14th, we'll have your name on a list, and you can just stop by and pick up your shirt!
  • Shirts will be on sale during both lunches starting on Thursday, 9/14. We can accept cash and card only. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept Venmo, ApplePay or any other forms of payment besides cash and swipeable cards. The school does not have any tap-to-pay devices.

Homecoming Dance Ticket and Guest Pass Info

The Homecoming Dance will be on Friday, 9/22 from 7-10pm. Doors close for admission at 8:30.

  • You can buy tickets for $25 on GoFan.com at the link HERE. If you are bringing a guest, you still need a completed guest form.
  • Tickets will also be available at both lunches from Wednesday 9/13- Wednesday 9/20. Dance tickets WILL NOT be available on Showdown Day.
  • If you have an activity pass and want to claim your $5 discount. Instead, do that on GoFan, you can pay in cash or card during lunches. Activity passes only discount the ticket of the individual buyer, not their guests.
  • You can also buy tickets at the regular $25 price using cash or card during those same lunches.
  • Tickets will be available at the door for $30 using cash or card only.
  • Guest forms for any non-CV guests are available HERE and in the main office. These must be returned to the office by the end of school on Wednesday, 9/20.
  • If you know that you are not eligible for the Dance, please do not buy a ticket.

College Funding Coach Presentation at CV!

This year, the FAFSA landscape is changing significantly, and we understand that this will heighten the levels of stress and uncertainty. We have been working hard to provide college resources for your family. I am excited to announce that Castle View High School is hosting the College Funding Coach on Tuesday, November 28th, from 6:00-7:30pm. The presentation will be offered in-person at Castle View High School. This free event is for any family wanting to learn how to pay for college (Preschool - High School).

The College Funding Coach was founded in 2002 to help families better understand the complex strategies for paying for college and making higher education more affordable. Mark DeBord, from The College Funding Coach, is on a mission to help Colorado families pay for their children’s education. This interactive workshop, Little-Known Secrets of Paying for College, teaches parents the rules of the game when it comes to paying for your child’s education.

This is a free educational in-person event. Please register by clicking HERE.
