Heart 2 Heart
Celebrating 75 Years of Catholic Education in Coronado
A Message from Principal Harris
Dear SHPS Parents,
This Wednesday evening is our annual “Back To School Night” here at Sacred Heart Parish School. We are excited to be holding it in-person again. It will be held in our beautiful new Parish Center. The program begins at 6:00 PM. We ask that all parents attending wear masks in the Parish Center, and later in the classrooms, also.
Father Mike will open with prayer and a few words, then I will be introducing our fantastic 2021-2022 faculty and staff to you. The teachers will then go to their classrooms, and I will make other VIP introductions and share a few important words with you about the upcoming school year, including our Covid-19 policies and procedures.
Of course, the reason you come is to meet your child’s teacher and see the classroom they will be working in this year. There will be three sessions for the teachers to present, roughly from 6:30 to 7:00, 7:00 to 7:30, and 7:30 to 8:00, at which time the evening will end.
I know that all of the teachers have worked extremely hard preparing their classrooms and curriculums to share with you. I hope that you all will have the opportunity to introduce yourselves to them that evening. A gentle reminder, if you would like to talk to your child’s teacher about something that may take more than a few minutes, please set up an appointment with them so they are able to touch base with all their new parents. Our Specialty Teachers will also be there that evening, if you would like to talk about their programs.
Please Note: If you are unable to attend, teachers will provide you with a pre-recorded presentation to inform you on the topics discussed at our Back to School Night.
Lastly, this is an evening for parents and adults only, and we ask you to not bring your children. There will be no childcare provided.
I look forward to seeing you Wednesday evening!
Sincerely in Christ,
Peter Harris
