A MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR..........
Principals,
Many of you have worked hard to foster a safe and positive learning environment for your school, applied for grants, supported students who were experiencing grief, developed and implemented action plans designed to target instruction, and have motivated and inspired the teachers to strive for 'Instructional Excellence' increasing scholar achievement.
It is that time for our scholars to show what they know on the STAAR and EOC's. Know that the scholars will give it all they have to do a fantastic job. Your leadership has been instrumental in the commitment for 'Instructional Excellence' on each campus!
Although you may be the first to arrive and the last to leave, the first to believe and never give up, you have gone above and beyond what is required of a leader. I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every staff member at the twelve academic campuses in the Thomas Jefferson Feeder Pattern for all the hard work that has been planned and executed all year. I see heroic work every day and am inspired by your dedication and willingness to give it your ALL. Thank you for allowing me to work with such a phenomenal group of educators!!
As we move into this final phase of our school year, continue to keep servant leadership a top priority ensuring you maximize our remaining time with scholars, staff, and faculty.
You are the BEST. Your campuses are READY to SHOW WHAT THEY KNOW!
Here's to a great week testing!
Ms. Torres

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE
EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE is paramount for all our parents and community to feel welcomed on ALL the campuses in the Thomas Jefferson Feeder pattern and the entire district. It is expected, if your campus has a doorbell system, answering the doorbell with a warm greeting is vital as a first contact individuals hear. It is NOT a best practice to allow individuals to enter the building without having them properly greeted and identified. EXCEELENT CUSTOMER SERVICE should be practiced daily.

PRINCIPLES OF LEARNING
For the month of May, our feeder will focus on RECOGNITION OF ACCOMPLISHMENT as our FIFTH principle.
RECOGNITION OF ACCOMPLISHMENT
If we expect students to put forth and sustain high levels of effort, then we must motivate them by recognizing their accomplishments regularly. Clear recognition of authentic accomplishment is a hallmark of an effort-based school. This recognition can take the form of celebrations of work that meets standards or intermediate progress benchmarks In route to the standards. Progress points are articulated so that, regardless of entering performance level, every student can meet real accomplishment criteria often enough to be recognized frequently. Recognition of accomplishment can be tied to opportunities to participate in events that matter to students and their families.
