CONTINUING OUR FAMILY THEME
We have enjoyed learning about families this past month! We began setting our classroom up into the different rooms/locations in a home including: the "garage" in our block center, "laundry room" at Art Center--complete with a washing machine and dryer, "living room" at Table Toys with a television, a shower in our "bathroom" at Science center, and a bed in our "bedroom" at literacy center.
We will continue with our Family theme this month, and will continue to explore the roles of each family member and make connections to our own families. We will draw portraits of our families, and continue to explore how each child's family is unique.
We need your help! Teamwork makes the dream work as they say....
-in order to continue to create a "family" environment for the children we are in need of some help!
-A family picture to hang in the room (Feel free to email it to us!)
-empty detergent bottles
-empty shampoo bottles
-photos of your child's favorite room in their home! (Again, feel free to email to us)
-Old unused remote controls
-Small blankets you may not use for the bedroom
and whatever makes a home comfortable
THANK YOU in advance! :)

Upcoming School Events:
*Conferences are Wednesday 10/19, Thursday 10/20, and Friday 10/21. You can sign up for your 10 minute conference block in our classroom. Please see Miss Tanesha or Miss Joslyn! The 10 minute time blocks each day will occur during the following times:
*8 am, 8:10 am, 8:20 am, 1 pm, 1:10 pm, 1:20 pm, 1:30 pm
Please note, if you are unable to attend at any of these time spaces, we can also have a phone conference!
*Picture Day is on Wednesday 10/26! We are doing this a little bit earlier this year!
*Dress up day and Parade is on Monday 10/31. Please bring your child's costume to school in a bag. We will help dress your child during the day for our celebration!
We are strongly discouraging superhero costumes as violence is not something we want to encourage. If your child wants to be a hero--please encourage heroes in our community such as firefighters or police officers.
Any child that arrives with a costume that promotes aggressive behavior will not be permitted to wear the costume at school, and will be offered a costume from our dramatic play center. NO PROPS are permitted. Sneakers are encouraged.
The parade will start at 2:00PM. Parents are welcomed to take pictures of the parade. Parking will have to be found off the lot that day, since our parade will be taking place in our lot and it will be closed to all vehicles!
Gentle Reminders
*All bedding needs to be picked up on Friday's and brought back Monday's.
*Remember to sign up for Brightwheels if you have not already as we communicate with that daily.

Brightwheel Feedback
In a few weeks, a Brightwheel representative will be contacting Noah's Ark administration to review staff and parent feedback and bring any concerns/questions/feedback to their development team so they too can continue to grow. Your participation in the questionnaire below will help us voice your thoughts! Thank you in advance for your participation.
