Welcome!

to Dacula High School Chorus 2016-2017

Greetings Parents!

Welcome back to another year with Dacula High School Chorus! I am delighted that you have allowed your student to be a part of our choir family. Earlier today your student was shown how to access a copy of our department's Choral Handbook on eClass. To help families begin to plan for the coming year and to make certain we hit the ground running when school begins, please take the time now to read the materials and fill out the forms contained in this handbook.

This listerv will also be an integral part of distributing information throughout the program. A Google form for basic contact information has been sent out to all your students, to be filled out by this Friday, August 12. After that, these newsletters (which will include important information on dues, fundraisers, and concerts) will be sent out only to those emails submitted in the form. If you would like to add any additional emails to this listerv, please do so using the form at the very bottom of the page.

Sincerely

Mr. Schreer

Our Handbook

The Dacula Chorus handbook is the No. 1 reference source for our program. All of the information you will need for a successful year is consolidated inside, and I strongly encourage you to familiarize yourselves with it's contents. All students and parents are required to submit a signed Parent/Student Agreement Form to the chorus office by this Friday, August 12th. Extra copies of this form and our handbook can be found by clicking on the button below.

Staying in Contact

In addition to using this email listerv, I will also use Remind101 as a way to more easily reach students with reminders and announcements. Remind101 is a program that allows students to sign up for text messages without revealing their phone number. This is a great way to stay privy to what is going on in the program, and I encourage any parents to sign up along with their students. You can find directions listed below.

Parent Volunteers

Our program is built on the support of our parents. Parent volunteers are an essential part of allowing our program to run smoothly, and without their assistance we would not be able to provide many of the programs we do over the course of the year. Please take a few seconds to fill out the form below. Even letting us know that you are not interested would be helpful.

Looking Ahead

Friday, Aug. 12th, 2-5pm

This is an online event.

Keep your eyes posted for our next newsletter about Chorus Dues and the Process of Ordering Dresses. All first-time chorus members must order formal concert attire, and the process will be detailed in the newsletter which will be sent out Friday afternoon.

Dacula High School Chorus

The Dacula Choral Program is dedicating to helping each student grow vocally and musically by teaching superior vocal pedagogy, musicianship, choral skills, and rehearsal techniques. As always we thank you for your support, and hope that your love of vocal music is nurtured and continues to grow.
