Our Year 3/4 Team have made their way through to the BOP RIP World Cup after winning at the EBOP Qualifier.


Our Year 5/6 Totara team came second and will also join them in the competition in Paengaroa on Wednesday 16th June 2021.


A great day was had by all three teams from Kawerau Putauaki School representing South Africa, and taking out the prize for being the best dressed.

We are having weekly assemblies to celebrate our students achievements.

Our first assembly, last week, was hosted by Ngā Puawai.

Kua kaha te taha Rumaki ki te whakanui i tō tātou reo rangatira ia wiki. Hei whakamana i ngā tamariki e kōrerotia i te reo ia rā. Tētahi taonga mo te taha tuakana me tētahi taonga mo te taha teina.

Ko ēnei ngā tamariki i whiwhi i ngā taonga nei e pā ana ki te Reo-ā-waha.

Ko Beau Te Aomarere i whiwhi i te taonga mo te taha tuakana.

Ko Taha McClutchie i whiwhi i te taonga mo te taha teina.

The Rumaki have acknowledgement trophies for the children who try really hard to speak māori all day everyday. Every week the trophies will be distributed to a senior student and a junior student. The trophies will remain at school but their certificates will go home with them. Beau Te Aomarere received the senior Reo-ā-waha for this week and Taha McClutchie for the juniors.
