Types Of Stress
Stress can lead to both physical and mental responses.
Physical symptoms are things like: faster breathing or heart rate, high blood pressure, sweating, aches, stiffness, weight loss or gain, inability to sleep, constant fatigue, cold hands and feet, and skin problems, in addition to much more.
Emotional symptoms are things like mood changes, nightmares, panic attacks, anger, depression, restlessness, racing thoughts, crying, withdrawing, lack of concentration, and more.
When you are stressed, you may feel nervous, scared, sad, angry, or easily frustrated.
Is Stress Really So Bad?
Long-term stress can be bad. It can lower your immune systems and drain you emotionally.
But some short-term stress is actually good for you. Fight-Or-Flight stress is actually what keeps you safe in tough situations, and spurs your reactions and reflexes.
What Can I Do To Relieve Stress?
