Wear Your BV Spirit Wear or Green and Yellow tomorrow!
Our PTA BV Fun Run Fundraiser is happening Now!!!
Hi BV Families,
Our Fun Run is scheduled for Thursday, November 3. While it serves as a celebration of school spirit, it's also our ONLY BV fundraiser of the year so we need your support to make it successful! PTA funds contribute to classroom supplies & equipment, school wide and community events, subsidizing field trip costs, technology and so much more.
If you haven't already registered your student, click here. There are incentives for personal, class and school wide goals to entice friendly competition. Students are really excited about the BV baseball hats, the prize for reaching their personal goal of $75.
We welcome you and your family to join us the day of the Fun Run to cheer on your runners. Below is the schedule:
- 9:00 - 9:20 Fifth grade
- 9:20 - 9:40 Fourth grade
- 9:40 - 10:00 TK/Kindergarten
- 10:00 -10:20 First grade
- 10:20 - 10:40 Second grade
- 10:40 - 11:00 Third grade
There are still a few remaining volunteer slots/options. If you're able, sign up here.
Thank you for supporting our BV community!
Note from the Principal
Greetings Buena Vista Parents,
I hope you are all well. Here is what's happening now! Currently going is our BV Fun Run! Our PTA's only fundraiser this year. Our PTA and the supports and events it provides are so important to our school community. Any support is helpful!
Our Halloween Parade is this Friday at 8:30am. PTA will be providing coffee and donuts to our parents. Please come and support our students and staff on this fun Buena Vista tradition.
Welcome New Staff
I am very excited to welcome Farheen Hashmi as our new TK/Academic Para-educator. You may have already seen her supporting Ms. Mes in Room 35! Please give her a warm welcome if you bump into her during the school day.
I am also very excited to welcome Peggy Iyengar as our new Library/Media Specialist. She will be starting tomorrow and getting situated and set up for classes for the next two days. She is very excited to engage your children in the love of reading.
We love adding new staff to Buena Vista and these two ladies already know and love our school community. If you'd like to help out too, we are aways looking for noon duty support during our kindergarten lunches. If you can help out, reach out to me directly at agramlick@walnutcreeksd.org.

Our Halloween Parade is Friday, October 28th at 8:30 am on the track around our school field. PTA will have coffee and donuts for parents.
If you have a TK or Kindergarten student that day their schedule will be 8:10-12:55. The whole class will be early start on that Friday, please plan ahead.
If you are already thinking about costumes here are the guidelines to follow:
Halloween Costumes
- No masks that cover one’s entire face. We must be able to identity students
- Face paint is acceptable as long is it not gory (ie no blood)
- No weapons, even fake weapons made of plastic, foam, etc.
- Inflatable costumes are okay for the parade only
- Students must be able to remove their inflatable costume for class time
- Costumes must not reference weapons, drugs, or alcohol.
For those students that chose not to celebrate Halloween for religious or personal reasons, they will have the option to participate in alternate activities in the Paw Patch or Library.
Respectfully,
Angela Gramlick
