CogAT Testing - 7th Grade Students
Students in 7th grade will be involved in standardized testing on the morning of Wednesday, October 14th. Students will take the CogAT test. Most of the students will test with their advisory class. Students will get testing locations from their advisory teachers on October 13th. If you have any questions, please have your student see Mrs. Tisdale.
CogAT is one of the assessments administered in PISD to students in grades 3, 5, 7, and 9. It measures students learned reasoning and problem-solving skill in three areas: verbal, quantitative, and nonverbal. In combination with other relevant information about students, scores can be used by teachers to adapt instruction in ways that enhance the students’ chances of success in learning. Please try to get a good night’s rest and remember to eat a good breakfast the morning of the test so that you can do your very best. Please also remember to bring two #2 pencils.
Please try to be at school on Wednesday, October 14th. We will be testing in the morning from 8:30-11:00. Lunches will be switched on this day and all 7th grade students will eat “C” lunch. Please schedule all appointments in the afternoon or on another day. It is very important for us to having this testing information for your student. (Kelli Tisdale)
