What We're Teaching: Life Groups
We have started our six-lesson study on Paul’s letter to the Colossians. Entitled Focus, it’s a look at what happens when we make Christ the true focal-point of our lives.
This week we studied the first lesson, which was more of an introduction to the entire study. The lesson was entitled “Knowledge Is Power,” and focused on Colossians 1:9-14. The point of the lesson was that your child would understand that a powerful life of faith is impossible without a knowledge of God that leads to action.
Next Steps . . .
As you go through your week with your child, look for instances to create some dialogue based on the theme of this lesson. Consider asking the following questions:
- You’ve had some time to think about it. What is your attitude like when it comes to learning more about God? Is it something you struggle with? Or are you up for it?
- What do you think has lead you to feel the way you do?
- As your parent, what can I do to help you grow in your knowledge of God?
Continue to pray that this study will impact our students, and that they will begin to develop a passion for a Christ-focused life.
