HAL Happenings
Mrs. Ediger ~ January 2015 ~ Peter Sarpy
Welcome to the 3rd quarter!
It's hard to believe we are already at the halfway point of the school year! We have some exciting things planned this quarter for students identified for HAL services. We will begin a Robotics unit, which will incorporate robot construction, programming, and problem solving. Students will be working in small groups to complete projects using the Lego NXT Robotics kits. This will be a great learning experience for us all!
Noetic Math and WordMaster Challenge Updates
Celebrations!
We have received the results from the first Noetic Math Contest as well as the WordMaster Challenge. Our students did a great job representing the Bellevue Public Schools!
In the Noetic Math Contest, we had several students who earned a spot on the Honor Roll (top 10% for their grade level) as well as an Honorable Mention (top 50% for their grade level). In addition, our 4th and 5th grades both earned a Team Achievement Award for being in the top 10% of all teams in the Nation. In the WordMaster Challenge, all three grade levels earned a spot as one of the Top 10 teams in the nation. Both 4th and 6th grade teams came in 2nd place, and 5th grade earned a 3rd place spot. For a complete list of results, visit this link:
