Lake Victoria
Lake Victoria is the largest lake in Africa. It is also a reservoir for the Nile River. It mostly lies in Tanzania and Uganda and it is a freshwater lake. Things you can do are visit an island that houses orphaned Chimpanzees, go to Kakamega Forest National Park, which are the remains of a forest and houses many animals, or get a tour of the Luo Village.
The Sahara Desert
The Sahara is the worlds largest desert with an area of 3,500,000 square miles. It extends from the Atlantic to the Red Sea. It is bordered to the north by The Atlas Mountains and Mediterranean. To the south, it's bordered by Sahel. Things you can do are visit and hike the sand dunes, camel treks, or visit many of the towns or cities in the Sahara.
The Serengeti Plain
The Serengeti Plain is located in North Central Tanzania. It extends 100 miles to the east and southeast. It also contains more than 500 species of wild life. Things you can do are going on safari's, visit the hippo pool, and go an air balloon safari's to name a few.
The Red Sea
The Red Sea is a long and narrow sea that sits between Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. It is surrounded by hot and dry deserts and steppes. Things you can do here are visit St. Anthony's monastery, Scuba dive in reefs, or go to the El-Gouna Resort town. These are only a few things you can do here.
