National Unfriend Day

The Day to Lose Unwanted "Friends"

What this Holiday Is

As of the third quarter of 2015, Facebook had 1.55 billion monthly active users. That’s roughly 22% of the earths population. With so many people using Facebook, there are bound to be problems and having unwanted “friends” on Facebook is one of them. Do not despair there is a solution to this problem, and its called National Unfriend Day!

A Way to Have No Guilt

Do you find it hard to tell someone you are not their friend? Or feel that un-friending someone without telling them is just plain mean? If so, then this is a holiday for you. It would be so much easier for you to un-friend someone without guilt. If this was a holiday you celebrated, then you would have one less thing to worry about.

No More Annoyance

Do you hate it when someone is always commenting on your every photo or re-sharing it. Or if someone is bullying you and posting mean comments on your photos. You constantly get their status updates and their news feed. On this day you can un-friend them and all of the annoyance would be gone.

No More Random Friends

Finally, no more being "friends" with John Doe, whom you met once at your friends graduation party. Instead, be friends with the people you know and are truly friends with. No one has 700 friends in real life so why pretend to be so popular on Facebook?
