5th Grade Parents Going to Nelson
Are you and/or your child anxious about being in middle school? Read studies that say parenting a child in middle school is harder than having an infant? Come to Nelson and meet with our Counselors as we help prepare you to take on this transition to middle school. Topics covered will include what a typical day is like for a middle schooler, events/activities you want on your calendar, how/where/when to drop-off/pick up your student, tips on how to help your child get organized, the #1 issue we see in our Counseling offices and how you can help as a parent, and a Q&A with the Counselors.
We are having 2 sessions to accommodate schedules. Coffee with the Counselors will be held on May 9th at 9:00 am and at 6:00 pm in Nelson’s Library.
We look forward to meeting you!
