PCA Weekly News

Week of December 7th - 11th

A Peek at the Week...

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Everywhere you look, you will find festive decorations throughout the school. Teachers have decorated their classroom doors and walls, the office is decorated, the hallways are decorated, and soon the gym will be full of Christmas decorations. The Christmas season is upon us, and teachers are busy preparing for our upcoming Christmas Program. I hear children signing throughout the day which puts everyone in festive mood. Only 5 school days remain before Christmas break, and we will be sure to fill each day with engaging and meaningful activities.

Greek Classes

Our preschool and pre-kindergarten students attend Greek class for one hour, three times a week. Our kindergarten - 5th grade students attend Greek class for one hour, four days a week. It is amazing to see how much they learn from the preschool level all the way to the 5th grade level. Our Greek teachers make learning fun with interactive activities and games. We are thrilled that our students may be eligible to receive high school foreign language credit from attending PCA.

Our preschool students usually eat lunch in their classroom. This past Monday, our preschool students had hot lunch with the entire school. This was a joyous moment! All students were so excited to be with the entire student body and eat lunch together. Since they did such a great job, our preschool students will begin eating lunch with the entire school, in the gym, following Christmas break.

First Grade Pizza Party

Our first grade students won a pizza party for raising the most money at this year's Fun Run. They had their pizza party this past Tuesday. We are so proud of all their support and dedication.

Our pre-kindergaten students gathered together to create gingerbread Christmas trees. All 31 students participated in this delicious activity. Our pre-kindergarten teachers certainly know how to make learning fun!

Letters to Santa

Mrs. Helen's pre-kindergarten class made a special mailbox just for letters to Santa. If you have letters to be mailed to Santa, feel free to drop them off. The mailbox is located in the school office.
