The State of Alaska mandates several immunizations for our students. If a student is out of compliance, they will not be allowed to attend school until they are within compliance. Please verify with Nurse Draper that your child is up to date on vaccines for the upcoming school year.

After School Tutoring Program Available
Redington Junior/Senior High School is offering an after school tutoring program for any student enrolled in 6th through 12th grade at RJS. This program will meet daily in the room of the teacher in charge for the day (see below) each Monday – Thursday from 2:25 PM – 3:45 PM.
The purpose of this program is to assist any student who requires extra help in their academic classes. Each day, the program will be staffed with a content area teacher to provide targeted support. We are hopeful that students will take advantage of this program as they strive to bring out the greatness in themselves.
Feel free to contact any of the following teachers for more information or any questions you may have. You’ll see the daily schedule, teacher, room number, and contact information below:
Monday – Heather Beard – Room 108 – heather.beard@matsuk12.us

Last Academic Saturday School - May 14
Redington will be hosting our final academic “Saturday School” of the year from 9am- 3pm on Saturday, May 14th. Don't miss this great opportunity for students to work hard and raise their grades before the end of the year. To make it just a little more fun, Mr. Whitehurst is breaking out the grill. We will have hamburgers and hotdogs for our students who attend. Please have interested students communicate with their teachers and identify work they should complete.
All Redington students are invited, however students who are excluded from in person school for COVID-19 reasons will be unable to attend. This would include students with symptoms consistent with COVID-19. We do have expectations for those that choose to make use of this opportunity. Students will need to remain on task and not interfere with others who are working. Off task or disruptive students will need to be picked up by their parent or guardian.
We are excited to provide this extended learning opportunity and hope to see many of our students there.
