Restroom Renovations
Elementary students will be in for a surprise when they return to school. A group of their dedicated teachers wanted to spruce up the restrooms and offer some affirmations and encouragement. Mrs. Petty and Mrs. Cherne used their creativity and Cricut skills to design the vinyl to decorate the restrooms. Mrs. Thomas and Ms. Pritchard painted the girls’ restroom and assisted with hanging the sayings. We hope the students will enjoy the new look! We are anxious to return to learn and let them see the new look!
Whatever It Takes, We'll Do the Best We Can!
Clayton Ridge staff displays how they are willing to do whatever it takes to insure students are safe at Clayton Ridge Elementary. When the kitchen staff was quarantined the school nurse, guidance counselor, associate and superintendent jumped in to organize and serve a great hot lunch! A big shoutout to local businesses in Guttenberg and Garnavillo for stepping up and assisting the school with providing food for the students! #eaglestrong

What's New at the Guttenberg Library?
Nancy Ruzicka
Youth Services Director
Well, a lot!
Just like everyone else, the Guttenberg Library has had to make some adjustments to our hours and how we operate during our open hours because of Covid-19. Our temporary hours are Monday - Friday 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. We offer curbside pick-up also, Monday - Friday and Saturday 10;00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. Just call us and we'll get your books ready for you.
Our children's programming has now gone on-line to the Guttenberg Public Library Facebook page. Our next story time will be available on our Facebook page on September 18th.
The library will also be continuing our Grab-N-Go craft bags. We will have them available again starting September 14th. We will have 2 different age groups of crafts available. Pre-3rd. grade and 4th - 8th grade. Stop in and grab one!
We have had a very busy summer here at the library. Our shelves are jam packed with new books! We also have a new Graphic Novel section! We will be posting our new books on our Facebook page.
Thanks to Katherine, Laurel and Margaret Breitbach and family we now have 4 VOX books available for children. VOX books are audio books that take a regular picture print book and turn it into a all-in-one read-along. You simply push a button to listen and read along.
Hope to see you soon!
