D303 Equity Audit

As part of the district’s equity audit, students, staff, and families have been randomly selected to participate in focus groups to give them an opportunity to share their thoughts on our district’s strengths, areas of need, and long-term opportunities for providing the best educational experience for all students. The focus groups will be led by our partners in the equity audit process- the Consortium for Educational Change (CEC). If you were not randomly selected to participate in a focus group and would like to provide written responses to the focus group questions, please visit the District 303 website and complete the intake form with the email address used in Home Access Center (HAC). Once your email has been verified, you will be sent a link to the questionnaire.

We thank you for your commitment to equity in education, and we are excited about this next step in gathering the voices of our district so that we can create a comprehensive plan.

60¢ to order Milk ALONE at Lunch

Parents, as you know, all school lunches are free this school year as a COVID relief measure. School lunches consist of a protein, grain, fruit/vegetable, and MILK. However, when a student does not order the entire lunch, but only wants a beverage (milk/juice/water) there is a cost for the beverage. This has been slipping by with some students but we are attempting to charge for these individual beverages. The cost is deducted from the child’s pushcoin account, and if there are no funds in the account, the student’s pushcoin account will go into a negative balance.

When students bring a lunch from home, sometimes they see friends getting a school beverage and start asking for one themselves, and lunch staff are unsure if their parents really want their child to buy a school beverage. Can you discuss this with your child, and inform the teacher if you start to see beverages deducted from pushcoin that you would prefer your child not to order? Students are always welcome to bring their water bottle to lunch or use a plastic cup at the drinking fountain.

    ALACARTE Beverage Prices:

    • Water $1.25

    • Juice Box $.75

    • Milk $.60
