4-H News and Information
Here is your November news!
Enrollment Time!
Minnesota 4-H youth members and adult volunteers can re-enroll in 4-H using the online enrollment tool - 4HOnline. The re-enrollment task should be significantly shorter this year. Previously entered information will carry over in to the new 4-H year. However, it is CRITICALLY IMPORTANT that families review and update enrollment information, especially health and emergency contact information. If you have forgotten your password, you can request to have it sent to you at the main login screen at 4HOnline.
Choosing your projects
Yes, it's time to plan another 4-H year. With lots of 4-H projects to choose from, you will want to take some time to explore the ones that might interest you most or take another look at the ones you have done. There may be other ways to do a project you have tried. If you are a first or second year member, consider picking only a couple of projects so you will have time to develop them. Limiting your project choices will give you time to participate in club and county activities and events. As you grow older and gain experience, you will be ready to take on the challenge of more projects. Select projects that you are interested in and want to learn more about. Try to think about: "What do you like to do?" "What materials or equipment will you need?" "How much will the project cost?" "Who will be able to help you -a parent? friend? club leader: etc?" "How will the project help you now?" Once you've decided, select the appropriate projects on the enrollment website. By doing so, you will receive important information from you Extension Office, such as meeting dates, deadlines, and identification forms. Call the Extension Office if you have any questions.

Please RSVP by Friday, December 3, so we can give a final count for food (no walk ins please). We need people who would like to plan and decorate for the event - please let MaryAnn know if you would like to help with that.

Club Dynamics
There are many things you can do to help your club succeed!
*Engage youth in conversations to make decisions and share their "SPARKS".
*Effective clubs make a conscious effort to involve ALL members in discussions and decision making.
*Use special group decision making processes such as brainstorming, buzz groups, normal group processes, or other ways you may have used.
*Goals, events, meeting numbers, ideas, leaders, and officers should all be determined by the youth within the club.
To have effective learning, involve speakers, volunteers and youth to teach others.
