On Mondays we work on money. Some students are working on counting coins and bills, making purchases and finding dollar amounts.

On Tuesday we work on telling time. Some times are telling time to the hour, half hour, quarter hour, 5-minute, 1-minute, and elapsed time.

On Wednesdays we work on measurement, patterns and word problems.

On Thursdays we work on calculations. That includes adding, subtracting, and multiplication

Fridays are Fun Fridays! We play math bingo, games on the promethean board as a whole group, and small group math games that work on IEP goals.

Science with Ms. Thomas

We have been working on a weather unit during science. We have learned about different types of weather, how to read a thermometer, and the seasons.

This week we are finishing learning about the seasons. We have already completed fall and winter and we will be finishing up with spring and summer.

We will be taking a test on Friday!

Social Studies

Our focus this week in Social Studies is the New England and Middle Colonies. We will specifically talk about Connecticut, New York and Pennsylvania. We will also continue to compare the colonies as we read about them.

Science with Mrs. Waravdekar

This week we are learning about DNA, traits, and genes.

If you are in Mrs. Waravdekar's class can you please send in photos of your family. That includes parents and siblings.

We are starting to give out homework for the year. We are going to be sending homework home for an entire week at a time. Typically we do math homework on Monday's/ Wednesdays and Reading on Tuesday's/ Thursday's. You can either send it back to school daily or on Friday's :)
