Fifth and Sixth grade students who applied by Friday should have received a "Congratulations, your application has been accepted and approved! You are eligible to run for LOP office!" letter.
If a student applied, here are the next steps:
1. Attend a lunch time meeting on MONDAY, 9/10. Bring your lunch and your written/typed speech to the Amphitheater.
2. Attend speech practice in the Amphitheater on WEDNESDAY, 9/12 from 11am-1130am.
3. On Friday, 9/14, bring an 18"x24" (or smaller) poster to display during the election. Remember, no other signage is allowed, nor or campaign handouts, flyers, or freebies. Be ready to give your speech in the Amphitheater with a microphone. Voting will take place via Google Form in the classrooms immediately following the assembly.
4. If elected or appointed, the first meeting of Leaders of the Pack will be after school on Monday, 9/25 from 2:30-3:30pm in the Library.

School Spotlight - Buddy Classes!
Our teachers build relationships with their colleagues outside of their grade level. When they find a kindred spirit, with similar passions or complimentary skills, they become Buddy Classes. Buddy Classes consist of upper-grade students mentoring and completing activities or projects with younger children. The experience provides children with stimulating opportunities for learning and skill development.
This past Friday, Mrs. Maloney's 2/3 combo and Mrs. Smith's 6th grade class took their school spirit and their skills to the garden! Together, the kids and teachers weeded, trimmed, watered, and painted. Their goal for the garden is to encourage service learning, pride in the campus and caring for living things. Their hope is to grow vegetables, herbs, and flowers that they can incorporate into science and nutrition lessons. If you are interested in supporting the school garden with donations of seeds, plants, manure, or tools, please reach out to Mrs. Maloney or Mrs. Smith.
Mrs. Caddow (1st) and Mrs. Whitney (3rd) connected last week to help build technology skills and encourage collaboration. Mrs. Bauer (K) and Mrs. Becker (3rd) scheduled for their students to meet for the first time on the same day that Mrs. Bauer's class earned Pajama Day for reaching a class goal.
September's Attendance Awareness Month Challenge!
How does a class win? Easy. When the WHOLE class is on time and stays all day (no tardies, no early outs, no absences), they get to color in a letter on the ATTENDANCE sign and put the date at the bottom. When ALL 10 letters are filled in during the month of September, the teacher can redeem the sign for one of the fun things!
