Important Info
Conference Week
- ALL Classroom Teachers must conference with the parents of every student
- May conference before school, during planning (except for your PLC days) and after school.
- During the conference you will review the students progress through the 1st quarter. Share positives with the family and areas of improvement.
- Student Led conference: If any teacher is interested in conducting student led conference please see Ms. Johnson for info.
- We will host conference week over 2 weeks this school year - October 31st - November 11th
- Conference Night will be on November 9th until 7:00.
PLEASE be FLEXIBLE with parents and there schedule to meet with them during the best time possible.
PVES EVAAS Data meeting
We will be discussing EVAAS and reviewing our EVAAS data from the 2015-16 school year.

In an effort to Flip our Staff Meetings for informational sessions, I created a PlayPosit of our new MGSD Walkthrough tool
- Watch the presentation at your own pace

- We will begin using this new tool the week of the 14th

5 ways Literature Can Teach Globalization
Operations (safety, maintenance, construction, transportation, child nutrition)
Recess
- Reminder...can not make students walk laps at recess for a consequence for an in class behavior
- If a student is not being safe on the playground then we can give him/her isolated recess or time to think about the actions they made that day
- Instructional Assistants be vigilant on the playground, not on phones and not in a huddle
- If there are a group of students playing football, an adult should be in that area monitoring
- Majority of our playground issues are happening during football games
