Thank you for making note of this on your calendar!
Student Arrival
We have a large number of students who are arriving through the car rider line this year and appreciate everyone’s assistance with procedures to keep students safe. Students may be released from cars beginning at 8:40 when a staff member comes outside to signal arrival. Prior to this time there are not staff members available to supervise students. Students are to be dropped off directly in front of the school’s front doors and should exit from the passenger side, or curb side, of the vehicles. It is imperative cars remain in a single line along the curb. Please use extreme caution in our parking lot and do not attempt to pass cars dropping off students. Thank you for your assistance in keeping our children safe.
Sign In Procedures
As a reminder the sign in procedure at Harrison Parkway includes signing your child in or out using a computer. If you are signing your child out of school, please have your driver's license with you, as you will need it to complete the sign-out process.
Attendance Line Voicemail
If your child will be absent from school, please call the HPE Attendance Line by 9:00 a.m. at 915-4210. If you know in advance that your child will be absent, you may call the attendance line's voicemail anytime and leave a message. If you know your student will be absent for more than two school days for any reason other than illness, we ask that you complete a Prearranged Absence Form (available in the HPE office) at least one week prior to the absence.
Student attendance at HPE is vitally important. Please make every attempt possible to plan appointments and vacations outside of school hours. Regular attendance improves student performance and is expected as an integral part of our state mandated School Improvement Plan.

· For students who are eligible for kindergarten through age 21, you should contact your child’s teacher, school counselor or building administrator to discuss your concerns and explore the steps to be taken. Response-to-Instruction (RtI)
RtI is a general education initiative designed to provide high quality instruction and interventions matched to student needs, and using learning rate over time and level of performance to make important educational decisions. The RtI model is based on a three-tiered model of service delivery with a focus on early intervention and prevention of academic and behavioral concerns. Data collected during this process provides valuable information regarding students’ educational progress and response to interventions. Students who do not demonstrate a response to well-implemented, scientifically-based interventions at the Tier 3 level would be referred for an educational evaluation to determine eligibility for special education. RtI is a component of HSE’s Child Find Process.

Smart Steps will be at Harrison Parkway on September 29th.

PastaBowl 15 feeds more than Mudsock
Mudsock is coming! Mudsock is coming! And you can score your own VIP tickets to this spectacular event now by clicking here. VIPs enjoy adult only, end zone seating during the much anticipated rivalry game between Fishers High School and Hamilton Southeastern High School along with private concessions and restrooms. The event is expected to draw nearly 10,000 spectators!
However, the event is not simply about Friday Night Lights and showcase our incredible schools and students. It is the culmination of the PastaBowl campaign: the largest food drive in the area. PastaBowl stocks 7 regional food pantries with shelf stable pasta during the critical non-holiday months. Additionally, it serves as an education vehicle to highlight the needs of the 21,000 Hamilton Southeastern students. In fact, 1 in 7 of our students struggle with food insecurity district wide and that number increases to 1 in 4 at some individual schools. HSSF is invested in this partnership because, quite simply, when kids are hungry they cannot learn.
Help us meet our 20,000lb goal by dropping any variety pasta in our donation bins between September 1 and September 11. Donation bins will be placed at all local schools, Fishers Fire Departments, both Delaware and Fall Creek Township trustee offices, and the YMCA. delivered to schools the week of August 24th and picked up the week following the game.
Special thanks to our incredible PastaBowl sponsor, Meijer on 96! They’re more than a grocery store – they’re a community partner!
